Point Loma Tea – Shipping Policy
Thank you for shopping with Point Loma Tea. We carefully prepare each order to ensure you receive fresh, high-quality tea and products.
Order Processing
All orders are processed within 2–3 business days.
Orders are processed and shipped Tuesday through Saturday.
Although our tea shop is open on Sundays, online orders are not processed or shipped on Sundays.
Point Loma Tea is closed on Mondays, and orders are not processed or shipped on Mondays.
Orders are also not processed or shipped on major holidays. If a holiday falls during the week, order processing will resume on the next available business day.
Orders placed after business hours will be processed on the next available processing day.
During busy periods, holidays, promotions, or special events, processing times may be slightly extended.
Shipping Confirmation & Tracking
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipment confirmation email containing your tracking number.
Tracking numbers typically become active within 24 hours after the carrier receives the package.
Shipping Delays
Shipping times are estimates provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed.
Delays may occur due to weather, carrier delays, high shipping volumes, holidays, or postal service disruptions.
Point Loma Tea is not responsible for shipping delays once a package has been handed over to the carrier.
Delivery & Lost Package Policy
Point Loma Tea is not responsible for packages once they have been marked as delivered by the shipping carrier.
Once a package is confirmed delivered — including delivery to a mailbox, parcel locker, front door, reception desk, or secure location — responsibility for retrieval transfers to the customer.
If your package is marked delivered but cannot be located, we recommend:
- Checking with neighbors or household members
- Checking parcel lockers or delivery areas
- Contacting your local carrier to request a delivery investigation
Packages Lost in Transit
If your package never shows a delivery confirmation and appears lost in transit, please contact us within 7 days of the expected delivery date and we will assist in opening a claim with the carrier.
Incorrect Shipping Address
Customers are responsible for providing the correct shipping address at checkout.
Point Loma Tea is not responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer.
If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect address, additional shipping charges may apply to resend the package.
Damaged Shipments
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include photos of the damaged packaging and product so we can assist you.
Local Pickup Orders
Customers who select local pickup at checkout will receive an email notification when their order is ready for pickup.
Local pickup orders must be collected during normal store business hours.
Orders should be picked up within 15 days of the ready-for-pickup notification unless other arrangements are made with Point Loma Tea.
If an order is not picked up within this time frame and we are unable to reach the customer, the order may be considered abandoned. Abandoned pickup orders may be closed and products returned to inventory without refund.
We will make reasonable attempts to contact the customer using the email or phone number provided at checkout before an order is considered abandoned.
