Point Loma Tea – Return Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you experience an issue with your order, please contact us and we will do our best to assist.

This return policy applies to both online purchases and in-store purchases at Point Loma Tea.

1.Return Window

Return requests must be made within 30 days of purchase.

If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we unfortunately cannot offer a refund or exchange.

2.Proof of Purchase Required

A receipt, order number, or proof of purchase is required for all returns or exchanges.

For in-store purchases, customers are offered a receipt at the time of checkout. If a receipt or proof of purchase cannot be provided, we may be unable to process a return or exchange.

Customers may reference this return policy on our website at any time.

3.Non-Returnable Items

Due to food safety regulations, the following items are not eligible for return or exchange:

• Loose leaf tea
• Opened tea products
• Food products (including honey, jams, sweets, etc.)

These items are considered consumable goods and are final sale.

4.Food Safety Policy

For health and safety reasons, tea and other consumable products cannot be returned once they leave our store or have been delivered.

Even if a package appears unopened, we cannot verify that it has not been opened, tampered with, or stored improperly. Because of this, all tea and food products are final sale.

This policy helps ensure the safety and quality of the products we offer to all customers.

5.Gift Purchases

If tea or food items were purchased as a gift, they are still considered final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange.

We recommend gift recipients contact us if they have questions about brewing, flavor profiles, or selecting teas they may enjoy in the future.

Tea is a natural product and flavor preferences vary from person to person.

Because taste is subjective, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds based on flavor preference or personal taste.

7.Brewing & Preparation Disclaimer

Tea flavor can vary depending on brewing method, water temperature, steep time, and preparation preferences.

Because preparation methods differ, we cannot guarantee taste results and cannot accept returns based on brewing outcomes or personal brewing techniques.

If you have questions about preparing your tea, our team is always happy to help guide you toward the best brewing experience.

8.Eligible Return Items

Only non-consumable accessory items such as teaware, mugs, infusers, or merchandise may be eligible for return.

To qualify for a return:

• The item must be unused
• The item must be in original condition
• The item must be returned in original packaging
• Proof of purchase must be provided

Orders picked up in store are subject to the same return policy as shipped orders.

9.Return Condition

Returned items must be received in original condition.

If an item is returned used, damaged, or missing original packaging, the return may be refused.

10.How to Request a Return

14.Sale Items

Only regular priced items may be refunded.

Sale items and discounted items are final sale.

15.Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.

Shipping costs are non-refundable.

If a refund is issued, the cost of return shipping may be deducted from the refund amount.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service, especially for items valued over $75.
