Silver Needle - Bai Hao Yin Zhen from Fujian, China

Harvested by hand only a few days each spring, Silver Needle is made from the bud from the tip of the tea plant and is the rarest and least-processed of all tea varieties. Because white tea is unprocessed,  a fine, silver-white down remains on the leaf.

White Tea contains some of the highest and most powerful levels of L-theanine a rare amino acid.

Very light and delicate on the first steeping, but when steeped multiple times, the young tea bud opens and releases more of its flavor with notes of sweet honey and apricot. 

Contains a low level of caffeine.
